Sonepar shows ways to Industry 4.0
One focus of the trade fair at Sonepar is the possibilities offered by the industrial software platform Aveva. The platform paves the way for the implementation of Industry 4.0. and offers solutions for the digital transformation of production and mechanical engineering. The aim of Aveva solutions is to use and integrate existing automation systems in the best possible way. In this way, industrial users can further develop their production processes step by step and tap optimization potential – starting with the acquisition of machine data and the implementation of predictive tools through to Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), energy management, control and maintenance optimization. Aveva software solutions can be connected to any standard automation, robotics or other systems already in place.
IoT sensors for industrial applications
In cooperation with the manufacturer Pepperl+Fuchs, Sonepar will show, among other things, extensive application options for the WIL-SEN.sonic.level measuring sensor with LoRa-WAN. The wireless IoT sensor gives containers, tanks and silos technical intelligence. As a radio level sensor, it is primarily used in the areas of Smart City, Smart Logistics, Smart Farming or Smart Environment. Thanks to adjustable parameters, the sensor can be set to different installation conditions and different container materials. The standardized LoRaWAN technology makes it possible for sensor data to be transmitted over many kilometers completely independently for several years. The WILSEN.sonic.level thus combines all the important properties for challenging industrial application scenarios with the connectivity of an IoT sensor. As a member of the LoRa Alliance, Pepperl+Fuchs has set itself the goal of product interoperability and the global marketing of this technology.
