Inclination – Acceleration – Rotation – Translation – Angle
Measurement jobs on mobile machines require robust and precise technologies as well to detect the movement of the systems in an open and harsh environment. 6DoF sensors use various basic physical principles for different sensor functions in one sensor chip.
MEMS and magnetic sensors are used to transmit position and angle values to a processing unit in the backend of the sensor. PULSOTRONIC 6DoF sensors detect acceleration values up to 32g and angular rates up to +/- 2000 dps. An internal temperature sensor allows the stabilization of the system in a temperature range of -40°C up to +85°C. One of the most important advantages of using such sensors in mobile machines is the independence from the earth’s magnetic field
and the compensated cross-sensitivity.
Application-specific adjustments of the measuring ranges can be adjusted by the firmware. Several options for communication are in place like or CAN, SPI and IO-Link. A SPE interface is in planning. Safetyrelevant applications with an IO-Link safety interface will be solved in near future. The performance of the 6DoF sensor is predestines for applications in agricultural machinery, forklift trucks, construction machinery, as well as in the field of current flow monitoring and as part of fleet management systems.
