The new split current transformers ND 5014 of the VARIMETER RCM series are suitable for residual current monitoring in connection with the residual current monitor IL 5882 for alternating and pulsating direct currents in grounded systems. By opening the current transformers, they can be easily mounted on the conductors of the output to be monitored, thus enabling easy installation in existing systems or retrofitting measures. The split mechanism eliminates the need to cut and disconnect the conductors, thus minimizing costly interruptions in operation. Particularly since cutting the conductors can lead to the fact that a new approval test may have to be carried out for the system.
The compact current transformers are available in 3 sizes with a feed-through opening of Ø 49, 79 and 119 mm and allow vertical and horizontal mounting to the DIN rail.
Decisive for the accuracy of a residual current measurement is not only the quality of the products but also the suitable combination of measuring device and current transformer. At DOLD, you can also obtain the appropriate residual current monitor of the VARIMETER RCM series for the split current transformer ND 5014.
