Very large sealing ranges, highest density, very good strain relief and a unique marking – these are the features of the blueglobe. The core element of the blueglobe cable gland is the blue spherical sealing insert. Its innovative geometry achieves strain relief values that far exceed the normative requirements.
With regard to protection against dust and water, PFLITSCH sets new standards with IP 68 up to 15 bar for a duration of one hour. In addition, the blueglobe cable gland passes the IP 69 water jet test.
The moulded-on inlets extend the sealing ranges of a nominal size by 100 % in some cases. Three types (M16, M25 and M40) are sufficient to securely seal all cable diameters from 4 mm to 32 mm. Conventional cable glands require up to five sizes for this.
When the pressure screw is tightened, the captive blueglobe sealing insert concentrates the sum of the forces optimally on the cable being fed through and encloses it over a large area. The optimised force distribution reliably prevents the notch effect that occurs with lamella systems. Damage to the cable sheath is impossible with the blueglobe sealing principle.
